Although wine is still the staple of the Italian liquid diet, beer is becoming more popular. As well as the supermarket brands like Peroni and Moretti, there are an increasing number of craft beers on the market. Italy is considered to be part of the wine belt of Europe. Still, Italy has a long tradition about beer: as an example, in the 15th century the Duke of Milan Lodovico Sforza distributed free beer to all milanese. Nevertheless, beer, particularly mass-produced pale lagers, are common in the country. It is traditionally considered to be an ideal accompaniment to pizza; since the 1970s, beer has spread from pizzerias and has become much more popular for drinking in other situations. List of top beers brewed in Italy, as chosen by beer enthusiasts, drink experts, and world travelers. This list will assist those who wonder which Italian beers people like the most. Not only native folk, but from people all around the globe we asked about this topic. Here it is our top 3!
1) Birrificio Italiano’s Tipopils: one of Italy’s most sought-after beers. Birrificio Italiano’s Tipopils, or “pilsner-like,” which adds an unfiltered haze and English-style dry hopping to the German style so that it feels like an extremely American creation. In fact, it was Tipopils that inspired an American hit, Firestone Walker’s Pivo Pils.

2) Baladin's Xyauyù: a barleywine that undergoes a process of controlled oxidation, first in steel fermenters and then in large oak barrels, and takes about three years before it is ready in its basic version.

3) Baladin birra Lurisia dodici: Dark brown, off-white foam, average. A very appreciated nice belgian style italian beer of a brown/copper color and a small cream foam!
